BOYS UNDER 17 SEMI FINAL A , ESSEX V YORKSHIRE

Bamford put Yorkshire 1 up winning easily at 5th string and Cooper followed suit at 3rd string. Turner booked Yorkshire into Sundays final winning 3-0 at 3rd string. Lee came from 1 down at first string to give another tie to Yorkshire.  Wheeler stemmed the Yorkshire tide winning from 2-1 down and 2nd string

GIRLS UNDER 17 SEMI FINAL A, SOUTH EAST WALES V WARWICKSHIRE

A flying start for Warwickshire with wins for Pallett and Lord at 2nd and 4th strings. In a great 5th string tussle Jones won in 5 for Wales, but Mead ensured Warwickshire would go through to the final, winning 3-1 at 1st string. Harvey completed a good day for Warwickshire winning 3-1 at 3rd string.

5th string Bates got Hampshire underway winning 3-0, as did Fossey at 3rd string. 1st string Exelby kept the tie alive for Surrey with a 3-1 win at 1st string. Turvey took Hampshire through to the final winning 3-1 at 4th string. Warne battled hard for Surrey at 2nd string winning 3-2

All square after the first to matches, Carter winning at 5th string for Hampshire and Duke just edging out Keefe in 5 games at 3rd string.  Kent went ahead in the tie when Bradley Masters won 3-0 at 4th string. Evans clinched a final spot for Kent when he beat Kirby 3-1 at 1st string. Josh Masters wrapped things up 3-0 at 2nd string.

Smith and Bennett both won at 5th and 3rd string to put Gloucestershire one win away from the final and Peacey ensured their place also winning 3-0 at 4th string. Lake came from 2-1 down in a great game at 1st string with Beecroft to win 11/3 in the 5thgame. Quiney completed the whitewash beating Bainbridge 3-1 at 2nd string

3rd and 5th strings Cooper and Bamford put Yorkshire in a position of strength Cooper winning 3-0 and in a tight matchBamford beat Henley 3-1. Kent though refused to lie down and Evans comfortably beat Lee at 1st string, and Bradley Mastersbeat Turner by the same score at 4th string, to set up an all deciding 2nd string match between Peach and Josh Masters.Masters won the 1st game, but Peach showed great resolve winning the 2nd 16/14, however his efforts in that game may have proved costly as Masters won the next 2 to complete a stunning Kent comeback, and hand them the title

Twigg put Yorkshire 1 up in a great 5 game match versus Bates at 5th string. Wall increased their lead overcoming Fossey 3-1. Wall was 2-1 up and 10/7 up when Fossey was taken ill with an asthma attack and sadly had to retire, so Yorkshire were champions. Fortunately Fossey, after receiving first aid recovered well. Stewart won at 1st string for Hampshire to make it 3-1.Merchant won at 4th string to give a 4-1 victory

Yorkshire won all three ties and became deserving champions.  South East Wales finished on equal points with Surrey, but snatched 2nd place by virtue of beating them on Sunday.  Gloucestershire finished 4th.
