Yorkshire went 2 up with wins in tight matches for Turner and Emerson and booked a place in the final when Cooper beatHowell in the 3rd. Ford and Young won at first and second strings string for Gloucestershire.

All square after the first 2 matches Thomson winning 3-0 for Surrey and Shipley 3-1 for Yorkshire. Kirkwood inched Yorkshire ahead with a 3-1 win at 4th string and Smith took Yorkshire through to the final with a 3-0 win at first string. Dixon completed a 4-1 victory when she beat Wilson 3-1.

Surrey stormed through to the final with wins at 1st, 3rd and 5th strings for WindleBroadberry and Webster. Leecontinued the rout with a 3-0 win at 2nd string and the whitewash was completed as Camfield also won 3-0 at 4th string.

HERTFORDSHIRE V DURHAM & CLEVLAND

The first two matches went to Hertfordshire as Faulkner comfortably won at 3rd string and Rossiter at 5. Green gave them an unassailable lead when he won 3-0        at 4th string. The match of the day was between 1st strings Mulvey andHockborn.  A 70 minute tussle swung one way, then the next with Mulvey eventually triumphing 11/7 in the 5thGillamsmade it a clean sweep in the dead rubber 2nd string match

The holders Gloucestershire got off to a solid start as Bennett won 3-1 at 3rd string. Northumbria levelled when Hayley won easily at 5th string. Wins at 1st and 4th strings for Lake and Penkett ensured that holders would be in the final once more. 2nd string Quiney finished off an impressive victory for Gloucestershire winning 3-1.

NORTHUMBRIA V SUSSEX

Walsh put Sussex 1 up with an easy 3-0 win at 5th string. Romo had a chance to put them further ahead when he went into a 2-0 lead at 3rd string, but then seemed to struggle allowing Bainbridge back into the match and eventually losing 3-2. In another really tight match Atwell came from 2-0 down at 4th string to win 3-2 and edge Sussex ahead. Todd squared it for Northumbria coming back brilliantly from 2-0 down at first string. A tense cliffhanger at 2nd string between Robertson andMalik decided the outcome of the tie.  2-1 to Malik, but Robertson leveled up in a tight 4th, but his efforts were in vain asMalik took the 5th 11/3 and a delighted Sussex were in the final

Yorkshire went 2 up in this 2nd semi-final with wins for Beachill and Cooper at 3 and 5 strings. Kaiser wrapped up a final spot when she won 3-0 at 4th string. The impressive Bartley got points on the board for Sussex wining 3-0 at 1st string, similarly El Kalawaay at no 2.

Home side Surrey went 2 up with wins for Thomson at 3rd string, and in her last ever junior match Measures at 5th string. Wright gave Surrey 3rd place when she won 3-0 at 3rd string. Beecroft salvaged some pride for Northumbria at 1st string winning 3-2, but Wilson at 2nd string ensured a 4-1 victory

All square after the first 2 rubbers with wins for Bainbridge (N) and Cooper (W.) Mattimore then gave Northumbria the edge wining at 4th string and Todd sealed 3rd place coming back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 at 1. Robertson also won at 2nd string for Northumbria.

Surrey quickly went 2 up with easy wins for Smith and Stewart, and secured 3rd place when Javaid overcame Shukla13/11 in the 5th game of a terrific match. Bartley at 1 and El Kalawaay at 2 completed the Surrey whitewash

SUNDAY AFTERNOON – FINALS

Gloucestershire girls won 2 titles while the boys titles went to Hertfordshire and “home” side Surrey.

Hertfordshire stormed into a 2 love lead with wins at 5th and 3rd strings for Green and Gillams.  Faulkner wrapped up the title for Hertfordshire when he beat Cooper at 4th string.  Mulvey beat Gata Aura at 1st string and Fowler completed the rout winning 3-1 at 2nd string

GIRLS UNDER 19 FINAL
YORKSHIRE VGLOUCESTERSHIRE

Shipley got Yorkshire underway winning 3-0 at 5th string. In a tough battle at 3rd string Peach beat Bennett 3-1 to put Yorkshire 2 up. In a great effort Penkett won from 2 games down at 4th string to keep Gloucestershire in the final. The first string match turned out to be a classic, Smith going 2-1 up and Lake narrowly winning the 4th. The 5th game was extremely tight and saw Lake save 2 match balls before winning 13/11 to level the overall tie.  So the whole tie came down to the 2nd string rubber between Dixon and Quiney, and an absolutely brilliant match went to the wire with Quiney eventually overcoming Dixon 3-2 to give the title to Gloucestershire.

SURREY V SUSSEX

Home team Surrey started well with a 3-0 win at 3rd string for Broadberry. Walsh brought Sussex all square with a 3-0 win at 5th string. Things were extremely tight in the 1st string match between Windle and Martell but Windle put Surrey ahead coming back from 2-1 down to win 3-2. Camfield crowned Surrey champions when he beat Atwell 3-1 at 4th string.  2nd string Lee also won for Surrey.

The first match went the way of Gloucestershire as 3rd string Rothman won 3-0. Yorkshire levelled after a thrilling 5th string encounter went the way of Mawson 11/8 in the 5th. A great match at 1st string saw Peacey put Gloucestershire in touching distance of the title as she overcame Kaye in 5. 4th string Jones then ensured that Gloucestershire would become champions once again as she won in 3 straight games against Kaiser.  Smith completed a good day for Gloucestershire when she won 3-0 at 2nd string
