The finals of the U13 and U15 Inter-Counties at Surrey Sports Park on 19th Jan:
BU13 FINAL
Yorkshire vs Gloucestershire
A well-deserved place in the final for Gloucestershire saw them take on Yorkshire. The Northerners flew straight out of the blocks with Benjamin Sockett, Zac Toes and Jed Nowell all taking their matches 3-0. This secured Yorkshires name on the trophy. To finish off, Harry Anderson and Sam Todd won 3-0 and 3-1 respectively to give Yorkshire a clean sweep.
Result: Yorkshire 5 Gloucestershire 0
GU15 FINAL
Yorkshire vs Sussex
This was a great final, and both teams were desperate to get their names on the trophy. Torrie Malik started with a 3-0 win over Aisha Forster to put Sussex in the driving seat. Thanks to Emma Campion, Yorkshire drew level, and then ahead with a win from Poppie Jaram 3-0 against Beth Currid. Thanks to a high quality win from Jazz Hutton over Ellen Cooper, Sussex drew level again. Both players had given their all, and then had to sit back and wait for the decider from Gabriella Mawson and Alice Rose. A successful 3-0 from Gabriella gave Yorkshire the title.

GU13 FINAL
South East Wale vs Warwickshire
It was a great afternoon for the girls from South East Wales, and they came through their final to win 3-0 for the title. A combination of skill, quality and determination from Eleri, Katie and Bronte stole the show from an also very impressive Warwickshire team, who have also excelled during this tournament.
Result: S E Wales 3 Warwickshire 0
BU15 FINAL
Yorkshire vs Sussex
Yorkshire got off to an ideal start with Ben Merchant coming through his match 3-0 without much fault. The lead was soon doubled thanks to Joe Twigge, who overcame a hard fought match against Cameron Baker 3-1.
Things continued well for Yorkshire, as despite a leg injury, Lewis Southward took Yorkshire over the line with a 3-0 win against Perry Malik.
And they weren’t finished there! Elliott Ridge took a 3-1 win from Curtis Malik in a close affair to put Yorkshire 4-0 up.
Tom Walsh at #2 took back some pride for Sussex with a strong and convincing 3-0 win over Nick Wall.
Result: Yorkshire 4 Sussex 1
GU13 5/6 PLAY OFF
Surrey vs Northumbria
Northumbria came through this battle for 5th, in fine style. All the matches were close, with Surrey putting up a respectable defence.
Congratulations to Erin Vitty, Lowri Waugh and Lucy Anderson for finishing 5th.

GU13 3/4 PLAY OFF
Cumbria vs Kent
Both these teams were keen to get a podium finish. Karishma Bansal got Kent off to an ideal start with a 3-1 win over Kaitlyn Carruthers. Jordan Corlett soon pegged Kent back, beating Lottie Taylor-French 3-0.
It was Michelle Tang who brought the glory to Cumbria, winning 3-0 against Maddy Hill in the deciding leg. Well done to both teams!

Kent vs Essex
Again another nail-biter in the Boys U13. Due to the unfortunate retirement of Charlie Martin whilst leading Tom Goodayle 1-0, the match was level at 2-2.
In the decider, Dominic Major took his match against Harry Kitchens, 3-1 to give Kent a well deserved 3rd place.

BU15 3/4 PLAY OFF
Essex vs Surrey
Things started well for Surrey with Lochlan Walsh beating Ben Richardson 3-2 in the fifth, putting Surrey 2-0 in front. Essex fought back with Joe Blackmur beating Ross Glide 13/11 in the fifth. However, quick wins for Sam Exelby and Jordan Warne saw Surrey take 3rd place.
Result: Essex 1 Surrey 4
GIRLS U15 3/4 PLAY OFF
Surrey vs Essex
Ella Frankland got Surrey off to a good start with a 3/1 win against Eleanor White. Elise Lazarus drew the team level with a 3-0 win over Rawan El Kalaawy. From here on, Essex marched on through to bring victory to the team.
