Yorkshire v. SE Wales

SE Wales’ Ciara Richards was on fine form, taking the first match 13/11, 11/9, 11/4 in just 16 minutes. 1st string Megan Kaye and 5th string Jess Beachill pulled it back to put Yorkshire in the lead, beating Sophie Alderman 3-2 and Catherine Fields 3-2 respectively. 2nd string Charlotte Fish and 4th string Lucy Ward sealed Yorkshire’s place in the Final by winning 3-1 and 3-2 respectively. Northumbria v. Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire had a great start, with 5th string Beth Parker and 3rd string Florie Smith both winning 3-0. Gloucestershire’s 1st string Amber Peacey made easy work of her match, beating Charlotte Cooper 11/7, 11/9, 11/1, securing Gloucestershire’s place in the Final. 2nd and 4th strings, Elin Jones and Jade Rothman, were again just too skilful for Northumbria, taking both matches 3-0 to make it a clean sweep for Gloucestershire. North Wales v. Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire got off to a good start, with 3rd string Joely Bennett beating Lianne Kennedy 11/8, 11/4, 11/5 in 20 minutes. It was a close 1st string match, with Ellie Lake edging a win in the 5th game 14/12 to take Gloucestershire’s through to the Final. Kip Quiney beat Lowri Roberts 3-2 in the dead rubber. North Wales 0 Gloucestershire 3

Kent v. Surrey

3rd string Jodie Koep started well for Surrey winning 3-0 in just 15 minutes against Kent’s Bethany Seaman. Surrey’s 1st string Alison Thomson beat Kent’s Georgina Kennedy 11/3, 6/11, 11/2, 13/11 in 47 minutes, which meant Surrey join Gloucestershire in the Final. A quick dead rubber for the 2nd strings, with Kent’s Amelia Henley beating Katie Wilson 11/3, 11/5, 11/0. Kent 0 Surrey 3

Surrey v. Sussex

Surrey sailed through to the Final, winning all 5 matches against Surrey. Charlie Lee, Matthew Broadberry, Jonathan Camfield and Adian O’Brien were all too strong for their opponents winning 3-0. Sussex’s 1st string Jack Martell put up a strong fight, taking his match against Ben Windle all the way, before succumbing 9/11 in the 5th to give Surrey the whitewash. Surrey 5 Sussex 0

Hampshire v. Yorkshire

It was a close 5th string match for Yorkshire’s Luis North and Hampshire’s Will Vaughan, with North taking it 12/10, 11/7, 11/7. The next four matches played by Robbie Keefe, Kyle Finch, Cameron Ward and Adam Corcoran were all impressively won 3/0 by Hampshire, securing their place in the Final. Hampshire 4 Yorkshire 1

Merseyside v. Essex

Merseyside’s 5th string, Matty Powell took the first match against Richard Horswill (Essex) 11/4, 13/11 12/10. Jagpel Sehmbi brought it back for Essex winning his match 3-0 against Adam Pritchard. 1st string Richie Fallows put Essex in the lead winning 3-0 against Patrick Rooney. Luke Mercer clawed it back for Merseyside, beating Daniel Wheeler (Essex) 11/8, 5/11, 8/11, 11/6, 11/2. In the decider, 2nd string Owain Taylor (Essex) triumphed over Connor Sheen 11/6, 9/11, 11/1, 11/9 to take Essex through to the Final. Merseyside 2 Essex 3

Gloucestershire v. Yorkshire

After the first match, Yorkshire took the lead with Edward Stallworthy beating Gloucestershire’s Cameron Bryon 3-0 in 19 minutes. Yorkshire took the second match; with 3rd string Tom Bamford winning 3-2 against Callum Davidson in a 40 minute battle. After losing the first game, Nathan Kaizer took the match 3-1 to take Yorkshire through to the Final. In the dead rubbers James Peach and Jack Cooper (Yorkshire) won 3-2 and 3-1 respectively.
