Bruce won the first game 11-9 but Richard took the second game 11-8. The third game would prove to be the important one as Richard won it 12 – 10. Bruce was beginning to tire and Richard won the fourth easily 11- 2.

The last quarter final would prove to be the most entertaining and brutal of them all. Guyanese number two seed Sunil Seth was up against his fellow country man 2013 National Champion Alex Arjoon. This match lasted seventy-five minutes. Alex came out in the first and played a very patient game and won it 11-8. Sunil then tightened up his game but it was still close but he eventually won the game 11-9. By this time it seemed as if Sunil was beginning to tire and Alex won the third fairly easily at 11-5.

It looked as if a big upset would occur but Sunil dug deep and won the fourth game 11-6. The fifth game went back and forth. Alex moved out to a four to love lead but Sunil clawed his way back to five to four lead. Alex then moved to eight five then Sunil came back to eight all.
