Home finalist denied in Saskatoon

Saskatoon Boast, PSA $10k, 22-27 Nov, Canada

Hopes of a Canadian finalist evaporated in the the semi-finals of the Saskatoon Boast as Zac Alexander and Amr Swelim both beat home players to reach the final.

Alexander, the top seed from Australia who is based in New York, overcame fourth-seeded Andrew Schnell in four games while Swelim, the former Egyptian who now represents Italy, beat Dane Sharp, like Swelim unseeded, also in four games.

Alexander, just 22, will be playing his 16th PSA final, while 27-year-old Swelim will be playing in his 9th.
