Round One, Part Two in Hong Kong

The first round in Hong Kong always used to be played on one day, and what a busy day that was. These days it’s split, offering players, spectators (and us!) a more relaxing experience – until the actually get on court, that is.

After no upsets but a couple of scares yesterday it’s the turn of the players in the bottom half of the draw to see if they can make the last sixteen.

On the men’s side six of the eight qualifying slots were in the bottom half, so any upsets today are likely to be big ones, while in the women’s draw the HK crowd will have three of their players to cheer on.
