Abdullah faces Egyptian challenge in Kuwait

Top seed and home favourite Abdullah Al Mezayen was joined in the semi-finals of the PSA $10k International by three Egyptians after two rounds of play today in Kuwait.

After getting past compatriot Bader Al Hussaini and Scotland’s Greg Lobban, the top seed, aiming to win an eighth PSA title at home and a fourth this year, now meets qualifier Fares Dessouki, who survived a marathon 90-minute five-game quarter-final to beat fourth seed Zahed Mohamed.

Whoever wins will face an Egyptian in the final – third seed Mazen Hesham or Omar Abdel Meguid, the second seed.
